A New Plant

hi i bought an aquatic plant the other day, not sure what it is, but now my fish have destoyed it. i think it was my gold barbs im not sure but im wondering how do i help the plant to recover

Depends what plant it is, and information on the tank (like lighting and if you use any fertilisers).

Can you get a picture of the plant? How badly has it been destroyed?

i havent a notion what the plan is but its a type of fern i would say. my tank a 33 gallon tamk with just the usual lighting for a fish tank. i dont use fertilisers as this my first plant but i added food for plants.
i cant get a pic but the plant was around 9 inches high and now is 1 inch

no leaves were a lot smaller and spikier looking

Any type of java fern? Or 'Malay' java fern (Bolbitis heteroclita)?

Can you take a pic?
