Now, that Pretty's gender is kind of in question, I purchased another "female" for Fugly. This one is bigger and is a much better swimmer than Pretty. Kind of similar to Pretty with regard to coloration, but she has a very different body type. Almost has an B. imbellis (I've kept imbellis before) look to her, very long body. No beard, no flaring, but pretty fins, and she seems to like Fugly. Does a little "I'm pretty, look at me dance" whenever I put their tanks side by side. I'm confident that she'll be strong enough to handle him if he's agressive, or at least, fast enough to swim away.
