i did a water change yesterday and used the siphon tube to hoover up all the poo my plec creates, however it seems to be coming back very quickly. the photo here is the ammount he has done in one day, there was a also a lot of plant matter too as he has been eating my all my plants! is this normal and is there any way of stopping them from eating the plants as they are all looking pretty nibbled and goign brown.

Also what is the best way to clean up daily as a net doesnt seem to catch much of it. shall i cover the poo with sand to hide it? IMG00719-20110321-1722.jpg

i've seen far worse, whats size tank do you have? you have a blue phantom if i remember rightly?

yes its the blue phantom, its a 190ltr tank

i have just added a baby bristlenose (about 2.5cm) but he is too small to contribute to the mess, well at the moment anyway

i also get a lot wich is so annoying.
but my main "poohy" fish is kuhil loach. they do massive green ones which makes the surrounding area green! :grr:

Not very much at all, plecos are naturally messy fish.
