I know black backgrounds can make fish stand out pretty well, but the tank often looks dark..

I have a tank with white on all 3 sides, and I must say it is very bright..

The fish get light from all angles, and it makes them look really awesome..

I don't know if many people consider white backgrounds, but I really recommend it..

Yea it's not something most people think of..

but with the light reflecting off all sides of the tank, it really catches the fish at all angles..

I was shocked at how good my fish look now that I cleaned the sides of the tank.. lol

Have any pictures? I'm too lazy to hold up a piece of paper to my ten gallon tank. Might lose my place at the computer.

Thats why I said.. once I cleaned the glass.. I just let algae grow for the longest time... I finally decided to clean the glass, and was shocked at how good the fish looked.

I could take a pic with the flash off and see how it looks..

Another thing too, is that it's a 40g square tank.. It's got 1 bulb in an incandescent hood for a 10g tank.. I'm really shocked at how bright it is..
