a lil guppy trouble

i bought 2 male double sword tailed guppies like a week or 2 ago i kept them for a week in a small 5g tank and have just moved them into a 10g planted tank they have been in it since wensday and are doing ok but on 1 of them iv noticed his fins have been shreded by the bigger guppy male but on the fringes of the fis that have been torn there is some kinda white stuff is this fin rot? or is this how fins grow back

i know this is kinda odd since i userally help u guys with ur fish troble

sounds as if it could be the beginnings of fin rot GD...........have heard that melafix is ok for using to treat this. Heresay as I haven't used it for this myself.

-tear- Sadly that does sound like fin rot BUT! You can do something if it's not too late. Go to your nearest pet store as soon as possibal and buy medication. I HIGHLY reccomend 'Mardel' which is a brand and it is called 'CopperSafe' It has never failed me and I use it whenever My Fish are sick I hope this helped ~Scarlett

Binnox is the best and fastest cure for fin rot...I have used them all...and binnox is the best...good luck

GuppyDude Sorry to hear about your guppy hope he gets better soon .....
My males got into a fight lol and ripped each others tails lol.... I know thats not funny but I don't know what to do with them...
