After weeks in hiding, my shrimp have come out to play.

Here is my messy filterless, heaterless, 30L shrimp and snail tank.

I put 10 red cherry shrimp in there and thought the vast majority had died, but today I spotted 7. 🥳

My question is; without a heater, the tank sits at 19-21c. Are they going to breed at that?

Thankyou for attending this shrimp meeting.

Red cherry shrimps are capable of breeding at those temperatures.
It sometimes take a while to get them established They may have already bread. Look very closely in the tank Newborn babies are very tiny and very hard to notice Among the plants.

And check the old water if you use a siphon to do a water change. Not only are they very tiny but shrimplets are easy to suck up.
