I do a lot of searching on craigslist. And I'm currently looking for an aquarium and supplies. Do you think I will have much luck finding anything. I do think I have found an awesome deal though. But it's a little too much for my standards (I'm going cold freshwater).

Edit: Oops, It read tank heater, and not just tank :(.

That fish can barely turn around in that tank!!! My goodness! $100 for an oscar is much too much also! You can find them for pennies at your LFS, people don't realize how big they get!

oscars do not live in the ocean. they are freshwater fish from the amazon river in south america.

I found my 85 gal with 2 emporer filters and a nice oak stand and 300 watt heater for $300 on craigslist.com if you look hard enough you can find good deals on there but some people do ask way to much.

I would release it to the wild, but our river is too polluted :(. And besides, oscars live in the ocean?

This is fairly good too :).

NEVER release a aquarium fish into the wild. They cause HUGE ecological problems when they're introduced to non-native habitats. DO NOT do this.

They often drain entire ponds around here if someone catches a pirahna or snakehead in them. The cost to you, the taxpayer, is atronomical for something so insanely easy to not do.

Livebearers have overpopulated alot of Carribean/subtropical waterways and choke out native fishes.

Weather loaches occurring in waterways around Seattle.

There are many other examples as well.
