Today went down to maidenhead aquatics to get some live foods and to see if they had some cherry shrimp in (they didnt) , but anyway i couldn't resist looking at what bettas they had in, they had the usual red and blue VT's, an all yellow VT which had finrot (i nearlly got him though),.............

But then i came accross a rather large PK betta, at first i thought he was just alittle on the podgy side but as i compared him with a VT in the next tank i couldnt believe the size difference.... his scales were alittle larger and was atleast 1cm wider and an inch longer than the VT, he was a reddish colour with white and blueish fins.

I am 99.99% sure he was a giant type, and can't believe i didnt buy him at £4.50

Im going to go off and cry now :-(

Run back there now, break in and take him before someone else does!

Leave £4.50 on the side and hopefully you won't be arrested for burglary...

 that thought did cross my mind :sly:

I might take a trip there tomorrow to see if hes still there, im sooooo stupid :X

Go for it...........you know it makes sense :good:

We called into Bow aquatics today to pick up some stuff for my new snake :) They were just putting their new stock of fish out. There were the normal males and females, but along with the normal females were about 6 or 7 double tails. Highly unusual for down here.
All very juvi so some could be males. If i hadn't had so much trouble with my female tank this week i would of had a few............................at £3 each!

What snake are you setting up for bronze?, i have a royal python and a king snake.

Nice markings on him/her. Maidenhead aquatics down here have just created a reptile house at the back of their shop, amazing sellection of snakes, lizrads, but also they sell tortoises, spiders, frogs, scorpions. Im in there twice as long as usual now just looking at everything.... im not going to say how long though :shifty:

I know what you mean   We have 4 lfs and 3 reptile shops within 20 mins drive, so if we go out "window shopping" ......................................................................a few hours later

I live not far from maidenhead aquatics in St Albans, which has alot of fish (and a gorgeous arowena as you walk in there.) My other half is forever moaning about me talking/typing/dreaming about fish, but when we went in there the other day I had to practically drag her out of there.

Anyone could be tempted to make a sexist, stereotypical remark about women and shopping-but I'm not going to do that
