welll at work it will be a 40% off christmas special one day dealy, so i aim to take advantage and buy things for future tank, big skimmers, refractometers etc. and im also considering some fish and corals may as well take advantage :p im sure a few of the bigger fish should be okay in a smaller tank as juvinielles got to wait too new year to do the new tank il have everything by then but the christmas tree is in the way till then :p

right so questions!!

most reef safe angel out of these 4:

emperor angel
regal angel
blue queen
majestic angel

comet grouper reef safe? been there for ages and with discount he'l be 30 quid so i cant say no surely!

my nano im planning on getting a torch, sun coral, montipora and a pair of bangaiis for the time being since it needs some fish in it will be all put into the main tank come new year.

and dont worry im not going to go overboard and buy thousands of fish, im even taking 3 non reef safe fish back so il have more room for the time being!

Emperor Angel is the best bet of that bunch. You'll NEED, an autofeeder though if you want to keep him away from corals...

AFAIK most groupers are "Reef safe" in that they don't go after inverts or corals. They will however eat any fish big enough to fit in their mouths. Furthermore, many can get BIG! so figure out how big and if your tank is large enough

Are the bangaiis wild-caught or captive-bred. Captive bangaii have a MUCH higher survivability rate. And furthermore, if they're not there allready, they will soon be on the endangered species and do-not-collect list of fish. They're an unfortunate example of collection from the aquarium trade endangering the species, so I can't in good conscience reccomend purchasing wild-caught ones.

would an emperor get on with a regal? i have heard that regals can become very reef safe its just getting them to feed thats a nightmare.

the comet grouper or marine betta dosent get too big i dont believe! one of the smaller ones :p

i believe there tank bred, they have loadds of young ones up at tmc but il double check that tomorow!

Regal all they way. Only get one if it's from the Red Sea but they almost never nip according to many sources.

Comet grouper is reef safe. Note that the only angel you mentioned that doesn't need a mega huge tank is the regal... the others I can't recommend in tanks of less than 180 gallons. They can reach over a foot and a half. If you had a tank big enough for the emperor then the regal would get along.

tank will be either 4foot and 100 gallons, 6 foot 112 gallons, or 4foot 130gallons. may opt for the regal and comet thats £115 worth of fish, with this offer thing though its like 70 bargain :D

im not sure if it will be from the red sea or not, i think theyve banned exports untill next year.

welll i got a flame instead for £30 not too shabby reallly!! went on a bit of a spending spree and got lots of goodies.
