I have a Koi Angel, no idea what age or sex. My husband thinks he's lonely and needs a friend. ATM he's in a 16 gal tank but will be moving to 38 gal very shortly. Any suggestions? Would he likely attack a younger angel? He's quite peaceful, although has ate a neon tetra but that was my fault. He doesn't really chase any other fish.

Yeah you could try another Angel, or a Ram, or maybe a Firemouth. Then a nice schooling fish and some Cories or something at the bottom. That should give him plenty of company.

i have always had trouble with just 2 angels, but thats just in my experience, mayb a group of 4? tho i dont know how this would go with the tank size.

I wouldn't do that because you run a greater risk of 2 of them pairing off and then fighting with the others. I've had just 2 together for a while and never had any problems, but of course its a case by case basis. If you're worried about aggression then get a tank divider in case things do get ugly, they can be life savers, literally. But its always worth a try.

yeap the 16 is tiny. i would go with at least 4 angels. to minimize pairing and all, get all your angels of the same gender. this should be relatively easy with larger angels
