great pictures. your guppies look like endlers. are they? if so whats your male to female ratio with the fry. i noticed some in the pics. i keep endlers myself and seem to get alot of females. there very prolific arnt they. ive had to start giving them away. would love to keep them all but just dont have the room.

bigcheed... I just leave them to it, survival of the fittest, which seems to keep the colony strong and healthy.

Thanks Pete. An interesting thread. I have a small but expanding colony of hi red black bar endlers. Don't know how close to wild they are but they are cool little fish. I love them. They do breed like mad tho. And like I said. I always seem to get more females. All of which had there own broods at two months old.lol.

Anytime... If you're happy with them then thats all that matters really... Hi Red sounds nice, would like to see them ! ... It was never my intention to find ' PURE ' strain wild Guppies, just healthy wild types that I could keep alive for more than three months !!! 
 
Like you I love mine too, more Females is good and yes they do start young !

I noticed that too with my endlers.. the females go to the angels for food..
