A Day On The Lake

Me and a few friends went out fishing today on a local lake caught these.
A large mouth bass

A small mouth bass

I didnt catch this but i caught one that looked just like it. a long eared sunfish( a member of the cichlid family if im not mistaken)

My fishing partner Sky with a channel catfish.

A tow sack full of white crappie

And last but not least me with another largemouth bass.

Sometimes we do. We had a bad drought last year. But it takes all day to catch a catfish down here. What baits do you use? I like to use chicken liver,chopped perch, or homemade stink bait.

You guys should come up to Canada and try ice fishing It's cold as heck but you can catch some real big fish; (Pike are the best, they get HUGE!!!)

I love fishing! Only problem is..... I can't catch anything.
Not sure if it's my bait or what.
I've caught maybe 5 fish and I've used fake baits, shiner lures, lures, worms, salmon eggs, shrimp, minnows, some things called marshmallows, even a goldfish (someone had released it in the salt river and I found it dead ) but never catch anything.

I've caught maybe 5 fish and I've used fake baits, shiner lures, lures, worms, salmon eggs, shrimp, minnows, some things called marshmallows, even a goldfish (someone had released it in the salt river and I found it dead ) but never catch anything.

That happens to me every now and then. A lot of times its atmospheric conditions that affect fishing. Try going on a nice warm day after theres been about a week of nice weather. I can always catch something if its nice outside. Worms and most live baits should catch fish year round.

Its really a heart breaker when fish snap your line isnt it.

I use chicken liver and worms most often. Every now and then I'll try something new. Ice fishing would be real fun but I'm not that into freezing my genitals outside in.

I like using liver for the small cats, but when Im after a big one and I fish all night then i use a full live perch or shad about 4-5 inches long. I caught a 47 pound blue cat using cut perch.
