Just going through some of the photo's on my computer and noticed how many zoo photo's I have. Seriously, a year ticket to the local zoo for 4 years in a row + a camera is no good for the HD space on the computer. Anyways! ... Enjoy!

Wow amazing shots. Love the Pelican and Screeching Owl

The shot of the Leopard is amazing! :)

Fantastic photos
That chinese water dragon is perfect, looks in great health, usually zoo's don't know how to look after them.

Finally have an internet connection again, sorry I took forever to reply.
Thank you all sooo much for the comments!! =D Had a great day in the zoo, and happy that people got to share some of it.

they are amazing photos...your camera muist be sooo amazing

My camera (or rather, my mums =P ) isn't that great. It's a Sony Cyber-shot DSC H1. I love it to bits, but as they're up to H9 now or something, it's not all that great anymore. Plus my mum has had 2 camera upgrades since, which makes it look worse. But then again ... if I was to buy a camera myself, it would definatly be this one!

They've got free run of the Mangrove Hall. It's a very natural environment they recreated, it's got food sources which would be natural to the animals all over the place. To be honest, I don't remember ever seeing an ill looking or dead animal around there. I'm sure it's not perfect, but they definatly do try their best to give the animals what they deserve =)

nice pics :good: your plover is a lapwing

Thank you! I had looked up pictures just google-ing for plover and noticed they looked absolutely nothing alike. Had some trouble translating it from Dutch to English. You're most definatly right on your identification.

Screech Owls are amazing.
My Mother In Law has a pair of them living in the cowshed and they make such a terrifying sound at night when they come out and perch above the family cooking area. They like sitting and picking off little scorpions that come out of the woodpile nr the fire.
