I`ve had 2 male GBR in a 60 litre tank for a week and I`ve noticed that they both suck in and spit out food before eating it, at first I put it down to them being earth eaters and this being normal but now I`m not so sure, it this normal ?

The same 2 fish will only eat bloodworms, I`ve tried live daphnia, prima granules floating and sinking and pre soaked, freeze dried foods, hikari ciclid gold and flake but they are not intersted. If I just feed granules or pellets will they eventually eat it ?

Apart from some mild aggression all other behaviour seems normal, in fact they swim up to the feeding tube as soon as it goes in and they are both showing full colouration and finnage with no signs of disease or stress

Thanks in advance

From my experience, that tank would be too small for them (I know lots of people do keep them in tanks that size).
Yes, it is normal and lots of fish do that to break up the food.

I used to have wild caught rams and they ate dry foods readily. I think yours are just being picky buggers because bloodworms are tastier so try to wean them on to dry foods as pure bloodworm diet can cause problems in many fish.

They're nice fish :)
