Moved my fish from their original tank to a slightly larger tank - gave my troublesome white spot tetra to a friend - and this is how we stand at the minute.

Will move to an external filter as soon as I can. Will be adding some more fish possibly tomorrow.

Anyway, here it is at the minute.

I like it :good:

Be careful with tank mates for your betta,i have 3 bettas and wouldn't house any with anything but bottom dwellers or frogs.

2 heaters in a 90L? is that for dual redundancy or are they only low powered heaters?

anyway, great tank, lovely betta, almost makes me wanna get one. needs more tall plants tho.. and maybe a better background :)

Thanks for the replies.

I have 2 heaters in there simply as a back up, if one fails I have a back up. Plus I had it spare anyway so might as well use it.

I will be planting more tall plants, just taking my time with it so I get it right.

As for the background, I really wish I could use one but as soon as I fix one up my fighter spends all his tine trying to scare himself!

Finally, the fish with fighter issue... For some reason I have the most placid betta on the planet. He has no problems living with anything. The tetra have never once nipped at him, and he just leaves everything in the tank alone.

Lovely white sand - really works well doesnt it.... Hmm should I change mine... *ponders*

Shame about the mirroring effect that happens when backgrounds are positioned.. Maybe you could neglect to clean the back glass for a while so it starts algaeing up. This would cut down on the mirror effect. You could then add a background and would still be able to see it.

That's one of the thoughts I've had, as it's already started to green up a touch. My other thought was a planted background, although I'm not sure how to go about it....

Oh, in reply to the first poster, it's an African Dwarf Frog. He's a right character!

I'm really jealous! Never been able to keep bettas or ADFs. Beautiful set-up, the white sand looks very fine and soft.
