Well the time had come to get my first fish for my newly cycled tank. I went to my lfs and picked out 2 female guppies. Got home and floated bag for 5 mins, then opened the bag to start gradually letting some of my water in. I went to the kitchen to make a cuppa and when I got back, I noticed that there was only 1 fish in the bag. She wasn't on the floor and when I looked, there she was in the tank! Swimming round like lady muck! The other girlie obviously had the same idea, as I heard a funny noise..... sure enough she was trying to hurl herself out of the bag!

After the last one was introduced, I started to observe them and noticed they would swim down to the bottom of the tank, and then swim straight up to the surface.

My question is... Is this normal, or are my gupps, sick or stressed, or are they just mentally unhinged?

I think they are just exploring the tank. They have just been put in so it would be normal.

I had a male guppy that would constantly swim around the perimetre 24/7. They always do weird stuff.
