A Complete Beginner

Hi everyone.

Well where do i start?
I have always wanted to take this up and now i have the chance.


my first enquiry is

Is it easier to start with Tropical Fish or Marine?
Or is there no difference in Easyness just different style?

And what fish are best to start with?

I am affraid i am going to ask questions until you all go mad but i just want to get started in the right way.

Hi,
you have come to the right place,
you will get all the help you need on tff,
i would say tropical is easier because there no so much to test for every week.
it depend what fish you want though, if salt water is what you really want go for it.
once you decide what type of set up you want then someone can suggest the fish, for tropical, platy are good to start with, not guppy or neons they need a mature tank, one thats been running for say a couple of months. all the best Donna
