A Challenge

Here is my tank and fireplace...

As you can see, space is limited such that I don't really have any sump options.


Here is the protein skimmer in question...

It's made for a sump I know. I don't have room behind the tank for a Hang-on option - and since I already bought this (and I can't return it) this is what I have to work with.


I'm a do-it-yourselfer for life. I'd prefer not to have a sump since, as you can see, unless I want it too look really really bad, theres no where to hide it. I'm hoping someone here has ever encountered this - I'm sure it's been done before.

What can I do oh great DIYers?

? adjust the LR to the center and hang it on the side? you might have to offcenter the tank if it is taller than the tank. BTW...looks extremely light on LR. SH

well since it's not a hang-on it'd be kinda difficult to accomplish without some extreme plastic makeover... which is possibly i suppose.

and i bought out my LFS's supply of LR when I first set it up.... and someone beat me to it this last week... so now I have to wait again, grrr
