i am about to order my fish tank and thought i would order what i can afford to start with so i can start the cycling

this is what i am ordering and comes with a few things , just wondered what else i need like gravel and how much and anything else so i can order it together, also any treatments etc

Roma 125 Aquarium and Cabinet, excellent extra deep design, black finish aquarium with colour decal supplied for the new style hood.
Aquarium size 80cm long x 35cm wide x 45cm high.
Volume 125 litres
Filled with brand leading items,
Roma 125 - Fluval 3 Plus Interal Filter, Tronic Heater 150watt
Fluval GLO lighting, one of each 20watt PowerGlo & AquaGlo.
LCD thermometer, Fluval Aquarium Care Guide.
100ml Nutrafin Aqua Plus & Cycle. 26g Nutrafin Tropical Flake food.

The bottle of cycle is not needed, so If your paying extra for it, strike it from the list. If it;s uincuded, they feel free to use it, but don't expect it to help much. You may wish to look at exturnal filters, unless you are litely stocking with small fish, otherwise all teh esentials are there. I thing 7-8kg should cover you nicly for substrate, and then whatever decor you choose. I would just add the equipment while you cycle, as the free ammonia in the tank will caurse most things to get covered in algea. Saves the ckeaning :good:

Good choise, the fluval range of kit aquariums are excelent quality :hyper:
All the best

Hi Sarah,

First of all, congrats on finding this forum before you put fish into your tank :good:

Don't forget your equipment for cycling and eventually your maintenance.

Buckets, gravel cleaner, tap water conditioner, nets, ammonia solution. Can't think of anything else :dunno:

Paul.

If you want to see bubbles don't forget to order an airstone and pump.
I stupidly thought the filter system would give me a lovely display of bubbles, but found out that's not the case!
Of course it's not necessary for a healthy aquarium, but I personally love the effect of a nice stream of bubbles! :fish: :yahoo:
