Well hallo to you all, I though I would like to introduce myself. To start I come from a town 25 miles north of Edinburgh called Kirkcaldy. I have kept tropical fish for about 11 years. Up until last year I had a fish room in my house with around 65 tanks in it, but this was not practical(spilling water, damp, wife complaining etc). So I am now in the middle of biulding a fish house in the garden. When its finished(if I ever get it finished) I hope to have about 40 to 45 tanks. I like to keep a lot of different fish but I have a soft spot fot charicins and anibantids. I am the president of Kirkcaldy Aquarist Society(one of the biggest in the UK) which in April 2005 held its 50th annual open show(please visit our web site www.clik.to/kirkcaldyaquaristsociety). I am also a show judge with the Union of Scottish Aquarists. So most of my time is taken up with something to do with tropical fish although I have found time to get married and have 5 kids. I am looking folward to spending some time reading your post and I hope to be able to help in some way
Hi and welcome to the forum, and a fellow scot too
Are you in to a particular type of fish and breed them and what do you judge? All types or something in particular.
To be president of your local aquarist society is quite something.
