I have 3 platies, and 4 harlequin rasboras, when I feed them flake food they don't seem that interested until the food starts to sink, they're alot more active when I throw in sinking catfish pellets for my lobster but they have trouble eating it. Is there something I can give them that sinks and is a bit more tasty than flake food?

Jay.

you could try soaking your flakes in water first before giving it to them... I feed my goldfish soaked flakes because Dennis is a greedy b*r and eats so fast he gets wind. So now I hold the flakes under the water for a bit before releasing them. Seems to work well...

Ah cool, that's a good idea, cheers. I have a fry too, he's very quiet, I have some very very fine ground up flakes for him, never seems interested. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jay.

I'm not an expert, but my molly fry never seem to want to take flakes no matter how small when they're still tiny... so I give them tiny amounts of algae wafer and they seem to like it.

Livebearers love algae tablets.

Algae tablets? would they be ok fry? or can they be ground up? I'll try them on me adults anyway.

I just split the tablet in half, just add half of the tablet and split that in half, it mushes up after a while livebearers love it.
