I just thought some of you might like to hear my story about a very resilient betta! I used to work at a pet store, and we had some of those betta bowls with the water lily in them. Some of them were up on top of this big fish tank setup and we had to get up on a step stool to feed them. Well I was feeding them one day and noticed that one of the bowls had a crack in it and all the water had drained out. I assumed the betta was dead (he was all dried out and one of my co-workers said he noticed the bowl was broken the day before but thought nothing was in it). Well I was showing it to my boss and all of a sudden the betta twitched...he was still alive! He had been in there with absolutely no water for at least a day and survived. We put him in a tank right away, and he actually lived for about a week after that, but I guess the trauma was too much and he died. We called him Survivor for the week that he lived though haha!
