Just wondering if this will work in my 90 gallon african cichlid tank

20 Demanosi
8 Synodontis Petricola
2 Albino Longfin Bristlenose Pleco
? Electric Yellows - Thinking 10

Is that enough? Too much?
And if I could add more, what would work best. Would be wanting something with a different color that what is in there. Like a red or orange.
Thanks in advance.

Don't know if this will help any as I have never had Demanosi but, I am currently keeping 16 various Africans with 3x Synos and 1 Common Pleco in a 55 Gallon and I believe I have just about the right amount of fish. No real serious aggression (had 10 before and there was some from a Kenyi) however, I am still able to keep the tank cleaned and filtered easily.

You'll want to stock a 90gal about how you would a 75 as the only difference between the two is height. So, I'd say your proposed stocking (including the 10 L.caeruleus) would be fully stocked. If you wanted, you could have another species (such as Metriaclima estherae) if you went with 5 L.caeruleus and 5 of the other species. If you decide to keep the L.caeruleus & M.estherae together be aware that they frequently cross breed, so just don't allow any fry out of your tank and everything's peachy. :good:

awesome.. that's what i was kind of looking at. would the auratus or acei work as well as the red zebra?

Actually.. How about this?

15 Demanosi
5 Electric Yellows
5 Firecracker Leleupi
5 Eureka Red Males
6 Petricolas
2 Albino Longfin Bristlenose Plecos

It's not recommended to mix Lakes due to differing aggression levels and dietary requirements, so I'd leave out the Leleupi. I'd also avoid the eurekas as peacocks generally can't keep up with mbuna aggression.
