Greetings all!

I am currently refinishing a badly scratched 90 gallon acrylic tank (60 x 18 x 20). I am moving my current 55 stock to it when it is ready. This will be a planted tank with CO2 and HO T5 lighting. Filtering will be via Eheim 2217 and a Penguin 350. I am planning to add some kuhlis and was considering adding some rainbows. Here is how the stock will look:

What I currently have:
9 Serpae Tetra
15 Tiger Barbs (Some albino; some not)
1 RTBS
1 Opaline Gourami

What I want to add:
6-10 Kuhli Loaches
6-8 Boesemani OR Lake Kutubu Rainbows

The Kuhlis are a must; I just love those little guys. I also like the dwarf neon rainbows and would consider those in place of the larger species if necessary. I am also open to any suggestions that I may not have thought of.

I've got a lot of sanding to do on the tank...so I am just in the planning stage now.

Thanks for your help & suggestions!

Hmmm...well, the RTBS may have to go. He is starting to bully the tigers. The larger tank might help, so I will see if I can hang in there with him until it is ready.

Ideas for lists that both include and exclude the RTBS would be helpful. Any ideas are much appreciated!

Thanks!

Can't really advise stocking, I keep larger cichlids...But with a 90g and that footprint a lot of options...RTBS get mean as they get older...

Good luck with it!

I would suggest that the RTBS is a concern.

The rest of it is fine though. You can actually still increase your tiger numbers (maybe add a few greens in for "variety").

The Boesemani rainbowfish should work great in a 5 foot long tank! They are a shoaling species, so you will need to get at least 6, but 10+ would definitely be better.

I can't wait to see a picture of this for everything!

The RTBS is probably going back to the LFS this weekend. If he behaves himself between now and Saturday, I might consider letting him stay. But, I think he is just stressing out my tigers too much.
