I have a 90 gallon saltwater tank set up and it has been up and running for a little less than 2 months.

It would be great to see a marine tank with some sort of seaweed going! Try and make that little bit survive!

Never, ever underestimate the reproductive capacity of a tiny fragrment of plant. I put some Giant Salvina from a pond supply store in my tank for extra nutrient removal before going away for 2 weeks (someone was feeding my fish), and some duckweed must of gotten in. The tank was covered when I returned  .

well, when I started it up, for the first week or two, there was a lot of algae. seaweed is just complex algae, and usually algae is bad in a saltwater system. there are a few kinds of algae that are exception and are often kept as a way to keep down neusance algae, and sometimes to feed the fish. the algae has pretty much all cleared up in my tank. I do have some plants that I put in pictures of, and they have been there ever since we got the rock. My LFS says that it is a plant that some people struggle to keep, yet I get it and keep it unintentionally :p
i do hope that it will grow more....
My LFS says we can get some soft corals like mushrooms or polyps soon. When I get them, I will add the new pictures.

That exact tank setup sells for $1200CAD at my LFS. ..I spent a half hour staring and drooling and begging my parents to get it for me so I could have a marine tank. ..Then they reminded me we have university to pay for.

It's really nice to see someone else doing that setup, and it looks really great so far. Keep the seaweed growing!
