I have 8 Gallon tank working from last 4-5 months having 6 Tiger barb and 1 Blue Garoumi. Whenever I put any forum here people here out tells me that it is over crowded.

So now I am thinking to get rid off it and exchange with my LFS. And I want to know which fish I can get for my 8 gallon tanks. I want maximum fish so i can grow plants also in it.

I don't understand what the plants have to do with the fish, or do you want to say that you want to fertilise your plants with the fish waste?

In an 8 gallon tank you can put guppies or endlers, a group of 5 - 6 small tetras or rasboras and some cories (3-4) for the bottom.

In an 8 gallon you could even consider one small gourami (such as a honey gourami), or even better a female betta.

So your options would be:

5 guppies or endlers (try to take males, as otherwise your tank will be full in no time if you don't have a betta or gourami) or
5 -6 small tetras or rasboras
3 small sized cories or
1 small gourami or preferred 1 female betta

In terms of using your space optimally, I would prefer to take the cories as they are bottom dwellers.

Fish for a 10 gal tank

Although it's for a 10 gal tank, the recommendations are basically the same.

In addition to what is in that list, pseudomugil rainbowfish, cherry shrimp, and amano shrimp are also great for small tanks.

In my 10 gal tank, I have 5 psuedomugil gertrudae rainbowfish (colorful and about 1.5" tops), 4 pygmy cories and some cherry shrimp.
