I have an 8 gallon tank set up that is riddled with snails. Would I be able to get a dwarf puffer to go in this tank? I know they need a lot of stimulation and things to interact with in their environment which is very possible in my case. I've wanted a DP for so long and this is the first time I've realised that I have a tank spare that's got hundreds of snails in it. The filter is completely cycled and has been for about 1 year. I can also throw in the odd baby molly or two he this is OK for the puffer to give it stimulation to hunt.
Is it possible or not?

Anyone? I won't be feeding it just snails it will get bloodworms and other foods as well.

An 8 gallon would work for a single dwarf puffer, just make sure its well planted so he doesn't get bored!

I've had some opinions from friends who keep fish and they think it will work.

Will post pictures as soon as I get him/her, ooh I'm soo excited!

Yep, definitely. I'm having fun setting this tank up. I'm getting him/her a Skull Cave Island that should entertain it very well since it's made up of loads of caves to swim through. Obviously I'll be putting more than that in the tank but that's going to be the center piece.

Sounds awesome! cant wait to see!

Dwarf Puffers are boring, you never see them, the larger species of puffer are much more fun to keep, I'd look for something different personally.

really? Mine was always actively hovering around and exploring the tank... I guess they all have their own personality...
