7 Week Pregnant Guppy Finally Drops!

So my guppy that is 7 weeks pregnant from today is finally dropping! In the nick of time, right when I finish giving them bloodworms for dinner she pops 2 out randomly. Showing no signs, eating normally swimming around the tank. Only time she stops is when another comes out - very weird huh?

Only sign she showed was that she got swollen where the birthing tube would be. Didnt look like a tube.. just a swollen bump.. Heres 2 pics of her 2 days ago. How many will come out(guess haha)? She's so big!

Congrats. Tell her its about time lol.

Since you already said she dropped a couple I can't go with 1 super guppy fry I will have to say about 20-25.

I wouldn't say that's wired with the feeding habits as both of our females seemed to carry on munching away.

but i had a huge fish only birth 8 babys so just guessing lol

Thanks, I tried to wach until she finished but I lost track after 40 I got to tired walking around the tank a million times! Plus it was 3am lol. Although she still has a little belly.. But I'm thinking because she is the biggest guppy I have, so theres nothing to compare her to.. so she just looks bigger because Ive been compareing her to the younger ones.

A few got muched on by the others (only way to keep the number of fry down, its only a 10 gallon) But lots of plants for them to hide in. I also have 4 other fry from a different drop that I'm starting to second guess there age. They should only be a week old now. But 2 of them are already showing a lot of color. It's either black or blue, cant really tell which at the moment there still to small.

Thanks, I'm curious as to who the father was since I wasnt sure if she was pregnant before or after I got her. I'm hoping after since that would mean the male that I lost recently would have been the father and he had the most beautiful markings! Not to mention his amazing color..

The one male I have left has already started to mate with her. Her out of 4 other females! Yeesh lol
