First off, Jack i hope you dont mind if i use your post layout? Just drop me a PM if you would like it changed.

Equipment:


Tank: Clear-Seal 27l 6/7gal. 18x10x10 (i think?)

Filter: Elite Stingray 5 (200LPH)

Heater: 25W Heater

Co2: DIY. 1x 2L Coke bottle with 1tsp yeast, 220ml sugar (measured with pyrex jug). Glass diffuser hopefully coming tomorrow. Currently into air stone.

Lighting: At the moment, clip on 11w flouro. To be delivered, luminaire, 24w total. (8w is moonlight tube, 3 tubes in total)

Arrangement's and Maintenance:

Lighting: will be 10hrs on timer. Coming on at 12:00PM going off at 10:00PM

Fertilization: Dosing Tetra Plantamin as recommended + Co2

Substrate: About 4-5cm sand, sloped towards back.

Stock:

Vallis

...thats it until my plant order arrives!

Im not going to post a picture of what it is just now as tomorrow i will be buying more play sand to get it to the depth stated and ill replant all of the plants. Then we will begin!

Ok,here we are 26/1

Lighting, diffuser and 50 of my plants still havnt come. I have the vallis and another plant form my larger tank. Added more sand to bring the depth up. Running CO2 through airstone.

IMO i think it sucks . What can i do to improve it.

Try planting those tall plants infront of that horrible stingray and heater, then placing the piece of wood infront of the plants, and then stack the rocks over in the right corner. S ee how that works out.

Just wondering... why have you got the light fixed to the left hand side?.... i have 2 of those either end of my 7gallon. But when i only had one light i fixed it to the back, and it produced enough light to light up the whole tank, i just needed abit more light so that my plants would thrive.

Btw the plant front right is not fully aquatic and will start to rot in afew weeks, which will foul your water and may even kill your betta.

The plant front right is a vallis, same as all of the others there. Ok, ill try that plant arrangement sometime. The only reason the light is like that is that the cord doesnt stretch enough. My new light hasnt arrived yet.

Lighting unit and diffuser still not arrived. Hopeful for it coming soon. (All from china and malaysia)

BUT..

My next shipment of 50 plants did arrive having been delivered to the sorting office. I think i only put about 2 in, the rest got crammed into my 60l. NO ROOM LEFT IN 7 GAL!
Where the slate is looks ok just now, plan is to have some Dwarf Hairgrass there.

Im thinking of a background now. Any suggestions?
