Somewhere else, as I am banned...
Well, while I was galivanting across Europe, raping and pillaging the Dutch and Belgians, my fiance picked up a few fish for me. Some more Chalceus erythrurus or golden finned chalceus (or, no doubt, a whole myriad of different names in lfs...)

First up is a pic of the two we got from CFC (excuse the other fish in the pics, the Chalceus didn't mind posing, but the balas never stop long enough...)

Here's a nice pic of one of the older Chalceus macrolepidotus. You can notice the species has no gold on the anal and pelvic fins together with colours on the flanks and a sharper snout.

And here is the largest one I've yet had, from Paul_MTS. I tried with a measuring tape and I would say around 8" without the tail

And here are some random shots of the Chalceus, mostly them hiding up one end of the tank...

And finally, a shot of how the tank looks now with less decorations in there. I may take mor bogwood out once the P. pictus are removed.

awesome tank  and cute fish  but i have to ask, what is that writing on the top right hand corner of the tank? is it a reminder to watch the new series of Lost by any chance? -_-

Nope, the writing was to help us after the clown loaches we had decided to try and nuke the tank with white spot (and just after the 6 months was up on the UV) so it was to let us know when the last white spot was seen.

"Last spots seen 20 April"

Beelzebub will be buying winter warmers before I watch something like Lost

Glad to see they settled in well and finally into a proper tank, poor buggers have knocked there noses off jumping about everytime fish were shifted in and out in there tank.

Looks like there colours have come out very nicely.

Tanks looking at it's best i say, much less busy!
