60l Tank For Dwarf Cichlids

allo all,
slight change of plan from my 400l biotope!!
gonna setup my now empty breeding tank to start getting into african cichlids, dont really want to go with the more usual kribs etc, so what other fish have interesting characters and are happy to live long term in a 2 foot tank? also would like to breed them, which is why i dont want the more common fishes as its not easy to sell them afterwards!

There's not any mbuna that I can think of that will do well long-term in a 2 foot tank. Your best bet would be to look at some of the Lake Tang. shell dwellers.

Set your small tank up with shells and get some neolamprologus multifaciatus - say 1 male and 2 females and you are off. They are great characters.

yea came across that one recently, is it the same as the egyption shell dweller? sounds like it is and i am quite interested in it. have aslo found the Julidochromis ornatus which looks to be the one for me to go for, but will they be ok in a 2 foot tank?
