60 Litre Tank

Sorry.. i know you get this question so many times....

i have a 60 litre tank with 3 harliequins, 4 blue tetras, one sunset platey and 1 dwaft gourami... is it fully stocked or do you think i could add a few more?

Im after a bottom dweller.. what do you think would be ideal for this tank? obviously i dont want anything that grows too big!

well you need to keep the harlequins and tetras in groups of 6 or more. Then you will be fully stocked

well i did have 6 harles and 6 tetras but some died about half a year ago and i've never got roud to adding anymore....

So you reakon i should add a few more to make it 6 tetras and 6 harlequins?

yup

they need to be kept in groups at least that size

get a small type of cory. 5 panda corydoras should be good for that tank

I'm afraid it will be fully stocked once you have 6 harlequins and 6 tetras.

this is a matter of opinion, but i believe adding 5x small corys wouldnt affect the tank unduly because they are peaceful. Plus, harlequins and tetras produce much less waste than your average 5cm fish. Provided the filtration is up to scratch and there are plenty of plants and hiding places i dont see it being a problem

I agree, as long as the tank is properly looked after, 5 corys won't be a problem.

you could also look into 3 ottos or possible some shrimp instead of the cories. All of these have will add a fiarly small amount to the bioload.
I would be sure to keep up on your water changes and upgrade your filtration if it isn't very good.
