Following on from this topic.....CORNER TANK PROJECT

Tank was finally fully sealed..........

It took two "fills" to find the location of a tiny leak in one seal........

then it held!

Water was added, filter is a "biggun" and is 1/2 full of the gravel substrate from my previous tank (had a UGF running in it).....

...now up and running........few bits to adjust......going to re-do the hood......doors to the stand etc, etc.....

better photos when I have a chance......

.............some Endlers and Platties in there at the moment...........any thoughts on some "larger" inhabitants...........

My wife suggested Angels...........??

bet the angels will eat the endlers :D

It'll be hard keeping anything big in there without the endlers becoming food...

That looks great!

Yeah, I agree, if you've got Endlers, you're a little limited. They make a tasty treat for larger fish. Endlers are stunning, though.

That looks brilliant.

I'd agree that angels would look great in there, as would a huge plec! Great job!

Sword tails.
If you go to you LFS, you'll see there are a ton of small community fish.
Look there, and then plan out what you can fit in your tank. You can over stock a little bit with small fish (ex. in a 55g, you could fit more than 55 neons), so you might be able to cheat and got 2-6 inches over.

OK.......I thought the Endlers would be a little small to keep with the Angels.

I can have a move-round and get the Endlers in elsewhere.

I thought of some bottom dwellers in the shape of some Clown Loaches...........

.........and some Angels........

...a batch of cories............

still thinking though........

I did discuss swordies with Mrs Ava, however we were hoping for some larger fish.....

....gouramis are an idea.........I don't know a lot about gouramis........

.....I would imagine they would eat the smaller fish too........

I do fancy some Rams................maybe a couple of pairs............what do you think?

.....but would the Gouramis fight with the Rams.......or anything really......

looking good Mark

knowing the tank as I do
what about some red rainbows Glossolepis incisus 6"
or praecox rainbows Melanotaenia praecox 3"

as for bottom dwellers
clowns would still be to big as adults but you could go for any other botia
or corydoras.
I had over 20 khulies (std, black & silver) in there at one point, so that maybe an idea for you.

no botias for sure
but I have successfully kept khulies and apple snails together.
