Hey all, I'm thinking of restocking my 55 gallon tank... I'm thinking of getting rid of all but a few of my fish.

My tank stock (VERY overstocked I know)

2 Severums (going regardless if I restock or not, today hopfully)
5 Angelfish (ranging from 2"-4")
1 RTBS (2.5")
1 Clown Pleco (1.5")
1 Bushy nose pleco (male, 4")
1 Albino Chocolate Pleco (4", holding for a friend whilst his 125gallon tank cycles)
1 Gibby Pleco (4.5", will be going into a pong once larger)
1 Rubber Lip Pleco, AKA Bulldog pleco, AKA Rubber Nose pleco (3")
1 Senegal Bichir (9-10")
1 Clown loach (3", another guy that needs to go regardless, his 2 friends died :()
1 JB parrot (3")
1 Whiptailled catfish(4")
and 1 Pictus Catfish (3", not my choice, my mom bought it for me thinking I'd like it, don't get me wrong I do.... but the darn thing seems so lost lol)

Well, that's my tank stock... as I said VERY overstocked... If I do indeed restart I want to keep my Plecos (of cource), my Senegal, My JB parrot and my RTBS. I know the plecos are big poop machines (well in some cases, small poop machines), but I really like them all... should I just get rid of the Gibby plec aswell if I do restart?

Or should I just downsize a little bit in the tank, the Severums are going tonight, I could get rid of the chocolate pleco to an empty 10gallon tank I have as a holding tank for the time being, and the clown loach could go tonight aswell...

I don't think it's ridiculously overstocked, slightly but not ridiculously. Eventually, based on full sizes it will be though. Yeah get rid of the loach to a good home so he has a schooling opportunity. I dont know what an RTBS is. I'd try to rehome one angelfish and that would be fine now IMO.

i agree. RTBS can be aggressive. so if you keep him i think that limits the other types of fish you could keep with him. Im not sure about the angels. I love them as pets, but they dont like some fsh and sometimes dont like each other.

lol, well the Severums are getting bagged up and ready to go in about 40 minutes, the RTBS that I have is fairly non-agressive, perhaps because I have some nice rock caves for him to lurk in. The Gibby Plec I know gets huge, which is why it goes to a pond later on in it's life, and the clown loach at the moment, I can't catch him lol... I've just given up for the day, but tomorrow is a new day! So I'll try again then lolz

Ponds getting installed this summer, 10ft long, 6ft wide and 3-4ft deep ^_^

Sweet! Alright, so the tank stock is now.......

4x Angel fish ( really 5 Angels, but one is the hospital tank for hole-in-the-head)
1x clown loach (haven't been able to get him yet, he'll go soon though)
1x Pictus catfish
1x Albino chocolate pleco
1x Clown pleco
1x Senegal Bichir
1x RTBS
1x JB parrot
1x Rubberlip Pleco, aka Bulldog pleco
1x Gibby Pleco
1x Whiptailled catfish

So, I'm still stuck between restocking the tank, or keeping the fish... Any suggestions?

If I restock it I'll be keeping the Senegal Bichir, the RTBS, the JB parrot and the plecos (excluding the whiptailled catfish)

Should I just leave the tank as is? or should I restock?
