i am finally going to completely remodell my tank.
this is what i have.

and this is what im going for.

only with the big granite rock instead of the slate. theyre free on the side of the road where i live.
im going to do all of the change and such on monday about 4:00p.m. u.s. time. will keep the posts up even if i dont get any replies

thanks, i know a breeder/pet store owner in my area. he gives me discounts sometimes. i also know a friend whose mom has a 300 gallon that has a very weird assortment of fish in it she just put any if not everything in it. i will keep posting throughout the week as the tank progresses.

this is the substrate i am going to use.

it is Estes' ultra reef marine and/or freshwater aquariums. im going to use ten or twelve 5 pound bags of that. ive used the black sand of this brand for goldfish it is very small grain size and grime doesnt stick to it very well.
