55 Gallon Question

I have a 55 gallon which I am trying to fill. I need to know if it'll bust if I put it on a sturdy dresser that's 38 inches long. Keep in mind that would be a 5 inch overhang on each side. Thanks

Overhang is never a good idea. Entire base needs to be supported.

Also for a tank that size its sensible to use a stand that is known to take the weight.

55 US gallons is 208 litres so 208kg or 457 pounds water weight plus probably 50kg (110 pounds) for the tank itself, total 258kg or 567 pounds and you want to put this on a dresser with a five inch overhang on each side?!

Do it only if you like clearing up glass and a lot of water from the floor.
