55 Gallon Community Tank - Stocking

So I am considering getting a 55G tank and having it as a community tank.
 
Any ideas what I should put in it? I would like lots of small and different types of fish. How many can I have of each?
 
I will have sand as the substrate and lots of plants.
 
Some of my favourites are: 
 
Corydoras (small type)
Guppies
Balloon Mollies
Kuhli Loaches
Shrimp
 
Thoughts/ideas?

Around ph6 maybe a little bit higher but nowhere near a 7.
