This is Pearl, a two year old pearl cockatiel and easily the calmest of my four birds. Her favorite foods are fresh veggie chop and millet treats, though she’ll also try to steal cereal right out of your bowl when you aren't looking.
She’s super social and spends most of her day hanging out with her bird best friend, Barnaby. Pearl is really playful and loves sprinting across my shoulders, hiding in my hoodie, and taking naps on top of the living room clock. She's also surprisingly smart she can roll over, tap her beak on command, and fly straight back to my hand from across the room. (I thank my son for holding her and holding the note)

@fishyfisher
Congrats on the win with your handsome Cockatiel. Maybe you and @jaylach, who also has a cockatiel and has won POTM, can get together on a video chat so your cockatiels can talk to and see each other. :lol:

Very well done. Lovely birds. I had a rescue one in the 70's (Someone who decided they did not want to keep it any more, so it came to live with me).

Pearl is also a rescue who was abused when she was younger so it came too live with me and my other birds.

Congrats to you and Pearl. So glad you found each other.

Congrats! 🏆

Here is our “Hutchy”. At one time, we had two cockatiels….Starsky and Hutch. Our Hutch dropped dead from PTFE which is a chemical given off fumes by non-stick cookware at 500 degrees. We humans are unable to smell this and we’re not in danger, but a bird’s respiratory system is. That day we lost Hutch and half an incubator of championship bred newly hatched chicks. We had sautéed vegetables in a non-stick frying pan with newly installed non-stick stovetop drip pans. So……be advised, without proper ventilation cooking or sautéing using non-stick oven drip pans or actual frying pans could be disastrous. Btw…..when I contacted the manufacturer, they sent some $, but refused to put a warning on their packaging.:mad:

Sorry I posted this here, but feel it’s important to all bird keepers.
