So 3 days ago my pregnant guppy's breathing was starting to speed up and I knew she should be dropping any day so I thought maybe that was the first sign! i kept a close eye on her, she would dart around once in a while, twitched her head a LOT and became really shy towards me (she use to always approach me when I came around.. very social..)
No fry in the tank the next day and that afternoon we had a blackout in our neighborhood because of a bad storm. So she had no filter and was probably over heated (around 80) It finally cooled down though so the temp in her tamp went down to 72 after a day of rain. Her breathing went back to normal and so did she. Actually she is eating more now than she did a couple days ago.
But she still looks a bit big. So I'm wondering maybe this is her consuming her fry because of the stress? She only looks really big after eating so I cant tell from my judgement.. I feel like my eyes are playing tricks on me because she will be my first that I have bread. Or maybe it just isnt time for her to drop yet?
I'm trying to get a pic of her as soon as she calms down a bit. She's swimming up and down the side of the tank right now. She seemed very excited when the lights finally came back on.
