5 Weeks On What Do U Think

Well, below is the first pic i took of my tank 5 weeks ago after it had cycled and habing put my first fish (made few mistakes - but who doesn't when they start off)

And this is it 5 weeks on -

I know where your coming from, the missus said to stick with fake, I agree with her only becuase i am a newbie to fishkeeping. As the years go by and i get more experience i may try to dable in Live plants. Some of the setups i have seen on the forum are amazing...

I also started with fake plants and fake bogwood and all, it takes time to get into it, its a great start, eventually you will get fed up of plastic and go for the real thing, just make sure you have at least one watt of light per liter and give them some CO2, good start

Looks good! I'd be tempted to get a background for the tank though to hide the wires

I also agree, i would also be tempted or infact i would get a background for the tank.
Also i have recently added 2 live plants to my tank after 2 years of plastic.
I have to say i prefer real.
But that tank looks amazing better than 5 weeks ago, even if they are fake plants.
Also i would add an ornament e.g. perhaps a nice small shipwreck or castle in the middle were it is a bit bare.
