My bettas Alpha and Chomp shared a divided 5 gallon tank up until a week ago. Alpha had a small tumor on his left side that slowly took over his gill and part of his stomach-area. I euthanized him by way of clove-oil and vodka. At time of euthanization, his tumor was the size of a pea.
After having to euthanize Alpha, I don't know if I want to put another betta into the tank with Chomp. The tank is a standard 5 US gallon tank, filtered with an Elite Stingray 5 and Penguin Bio-Wheel Mini, heated with a Hydor Theo 25watt heater.
The tank is currently planted with LOW-LIGHT plants, no ferts. (Currently only has Cryptocoryne Wendtii).
What other plants could work in here?. I must be the only person who cannot keep Java Fern, Anubias or Java Fern alive.
What tank mates could be kept with Chomp in this tank?
