Okay, my mom and dad left for their anniversary dinner about an hour ago. I had been planning on putting a 5 gallon on my desktop for a couple of days when I found out they were going out to dinner. Perfect timing! When they left, I quickly grabbed the stuff and got to work. It took me about a half an hour. It still needs some more orniments and maybe live plants. My mom told me I couldn't have anymore tanks after my 30 gallon. I don't think she will care but hey, if she does there's not much she can do is there? Now I'm just waiting for it to cycle. Any ideas on what kind of fish I should put in here? I was thinking of guppies or something...
You have a filter and heater, right? Any livebearer would do well in there, and perhaps a few otos. Other fish off the top of my head are danios or white clouds, but those don't necessarily require a heater.
Keep us updated how it goes when your parents find out
Guppies will be a great in a 5 gallon tank, they are colourful, easy to breed and often have a 'personality'. Just make sure you have a filter/heater like the others said
No large tetras or Danos or any minnows they need swimming space . mollies might not fit either and swords need the space to swim. guppys or platties would be good though. I'm relatively sure she can take it away from you thought If its only 5 gallon I mean I can pick that up full and carry it off.
i did the same thing to my hubby. He was overseas and i told him i wouldnt get anymore tanks but when he came home there was a new 5 gallon sitting on our desk. I have a betta and an ADF in there. There was a ghost shrimp too but it died.
lol cheeky little boy, well my parents gona on holiday and ive just ordered a 4ft tank to become my main one, my parents know...well i told them on phone... AFTA i had ordered lmao!
Well, like I said, my puffers are going in my vacant 10 gallon. I think I'll either put guppies or platties in my 5! And Opcn, yeah, but she wouldn't do that because I wouldn't let her....
