5 Gal Tank For Bettas

Looking for a good 5gal starter kit with filter and heater. Hood and nice light. Got a minibow and cant stand the light. I think my 10 gal deluxe kit came with a halogen? Anyway, any help would be apprecited. Plan on starting with one male. Suggestions on what else to put in there would help. I was thinking a few females to the one Betta. Any other species that mix well?

Don't risk the females in with a male. Best case scenario is they stress each other out but the all to common worse case scenario is that they fight and potentially kill each other. If you realy, really want to try mixing the sexes make sure it is in a very large tank (honestly, I would say at least 30 gallons) and it is absolutely stuffed with plants. Personally, I value my fish to much to take the risk.

In a 5 gallon tank the most I'd recommend is some dwarf/pygmy corys (about 6) and a nerite/apple snail.
