5 Gal On Homemade Stand

This is my 5 gal, home to 9 Platy fry, soon to be Halfmoon Male Betta, sat on a stand I made yesterday using 3/4 inch MDF, just waiting for some dark walnut vinyl to cover it

haha it took me long enough..several attempts of uploading but got there in the end...
 
We have a strict policy in our house (Mrs policy of course) that all furniture must match 

  and all our other furniture's dark walnut (except my 86l, thats matching silver but hid in a corner so I got away with that one)

Lol yep women eh, unless fish oholics,hehe did i redeem myself on here?

Missus is away, so what did i do, yep went out and brought a 5ft tank to keep in kitchen, obviously tanking up whole work surface on one side, shes gonna flip when she sees end of month,,,, Nooooo i haven't told her yet, its a welcome back gift..

she doesnt mind the fish as much, just hates me going on about them, cant see why i dont do it much 

  
 
i keep pestering to get a bigger one in dining room aswell (we have a 2 gal with goldfish) shes having none of it, may have to take your idea and "surprise" her one day
 
and i'm sure she will be greatful, if she likes it
