well they got this 5 for $5 deal at petco again how many neon teras should go in a 55 gallon tank and do black neon tetras and neon tetras school togheter?

They might school together if you don't have enough of either type. Honestly, you could put alot of them, upwards of 50 neons in a 55G. Would be really boring in my opinion though, so please put some other types of fish in there with at most 20 or so tetras

EDIT: note, 50 teatras in a 55G by themselves, with other fish already in the tank, its less. Prob no more than 20 in the tank you have in your sig. Also...khuli loaches arn't schooling, but they like to be in groups so get atleast 4 or 5 more of those and maybe 15 neons

Ah, this again... I've done it before and had a good result the first time, the second, third, and fourth times, not so much. I think it might've just been a bad batch or two but I'm wary of their Neons now.

Quarantien them and you shouldn't have a problem ;-} Other than that, we have 2 Neon, 3 Glo-Lite, and 3 Cardinal Tetras that all hang out together constantly.

To be honest with you, i wouldnt get any fish at Petco...for the most part ive jusst seen fish dead/dieing in their tanks Petsmart is also offering this deal-5 for $5. You have a better chance of your fish living if you gettem from petsmart, IMO. There are certain petcos with healthy fish, dont get me wrong its just what ive seen is no good. I went to my Petsmart today and all the fish look pretty good..only a few dead which is normal. Happy fishing!

I suggest to not get fish at petco. I resently had a disaster by getting fish from there and you cant trust their advice anyway. I introduced diseased fish into my tank from petco and that killed three of my favorite fish. I swore that if my fish died I would never get fish or buy from petco again. And I am keeping that promise.
