I'm looking at adding some plants and having read about the advantages a co2 system provides I was wondering what cheap solutions provide enough for my tank (about 400-450 litres)?

Not sure I have £150 to spend on making plants grow fast! I'm now going to back my first plants so I can post back what I end up with.

With that size tank youre looking at pressurized and fermentation just wont work very easily...

You can set up fire extinguisher co2 for £70-£80

You may not need co2, whats your lighting?

as above a fire extinghusiher is your only choice really, the equipment will cost you about £70, and a 5kg is £36 (2kg are £25). You can occasionaly pick them up cheaper,

or the alternative is to go low tech.

Apologies for the lack of response - my arcadia twin t5 54w controller just arrived today and I am awaiting delivery of an 865 and 880 bulbs from lampspecs (one of which is out of stock).
