45g or 70g??? oscar

I have a friend that owns a nice oscar that is 12" he's wonderful (I reckon he's a he but anyway...) he keeps this fella in a 45g. I told him many people believe that the minimum is 70g. My question is will he be alright in that 45g? he is healthy and about 5 years old....or do you think that he must be moved into a 70g?

I beleive he need atleast 75 gallon, I suppose 70 will do

should be moved to the 70 gal will live longer and grow abit more
