I just got a 45G high tank, and I have not seen a tank planted at this height.

36x24x12.

And I was wondering if there were some options I could go with for what to plant this with. I am still looking for a decent high driftwood to put in the center or something.

I am a little new to planting, but not really in a hurry to have this set up in running so looking at options and doing a lot of research. Also what would be suggested for substrate. Right now it is just empty waiting for me to plan it out.

Thanks

Have a look at the pinned plant list, Llj's post 3 should give you an idea of taller plants, i.e. those in the 'mid' and 'back' ground categorises. That said, I wouldn't call 24" tall, all the larger Rena and Juwel tanks are 27" tall, so you're not alone.

As for substrate, that depends on a lot of factors, the obvious one being cost, how are you willing to spend? There are ones to suit every budget.

Well I am looking into soil, and see a lot of options, but some I can not find here in the States. I was looking for that ADA aqua soil online, but could not find any people selling it.

Thanks

Not sure how I missed it. Seems like google is a little behind on its indexing. Thanks for the link :).
