Hi all, I currently have a 40l nano tank that is going spare with nothing in it at the moment.

Is there anything that I could put in there to make an interesting setup? Im just looking for ideas currently

cheers

A pair of dwarf puffers would be nice imho :D Lots of plants and caves to keep them interested in their environment and you'd have a lovely little tank there D

Yeah Dwarf Puffers and a BIG filter , would look nice ..... :good:
OR Honey Blue Eye Pseudomugil mellis :good:
or depending on the footprint maybe a few shell dwellers :good:
Dwarf Puffers would look good though , and interesting....... :good:

Well, I really like planted tanks, so Id probably go for a planted

Its a 13x13x15 inch cube, so after looking at shell dwellers, I dont think they would be suitable, expecially with many plants.

I have 2 filters rated at 200lph each, from when it was set up before, would they be adequate for dwarf puffers? Im probably thinking not as 10x filtration isnt that much to me.

I would say in general, for dwarf puffers go for the filter that's the next one up for your tank size. They are still good poopers, but with 50% weekly water changes and good tank maintenance a slightly larger filter is good as they don't need anything too strong flow wise :D

I have an Eheim Aquaball 2208 in my 40L tank for my pair and it copes perfectly with their bioload and is easily pointed to the surface for good movement :D
