Some are stopping from time to time and then two days after that another fish will begin flicking and rubbing while the other has stopped. My Blue Ram has been doing it for some time and has always been very touchy, I also got a new ram that has white spots however it appears they are markings on the ram and not white spot (they are "local rams"). The problem I have is I have 0 white spot treatment (apart from a bottle which has gone out of date..argh) and I cannot use Salt as I have cories and loaches. I do not know whats wrong with the fish so I have raised the temp in my tank to around 28-30 Degrees and seeing if there is any positive changes. Any advice would be great. The fish flicking and rubbing have included 1 Bronze cory for 2 days, 1 Blue Platy for 2 days, 2 Rams and 1 tiger barb just today. I also have a yoyo loach which has the same problem and happend ever since one of my yoyo's died mysteriously after being happy and healthy.

What do you have for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate? Best to start at the easy stuff first before looking at parasites.
I take it the ram is the newest fish? How long ago did you add it and were the fish flicking before it went in?
Have you added any new live plants recently?

Try and remember if anything happened just before the fish started flicking.

well one ram is old and has been touchy. It kind of started after A Yoyo Loach died suddenly and also I had to replace some filter pads.....I gather that means the tank has had a mini cycle or a full cycle. Do fish flick and rub when they are uncomfortable aswell or is it always a sign of illness as in white spot or parasites

If the tank is going through a cycle then yes it can cause them to flick with discomfort.
